“Mummy, you came second. Because you were in a race. Daddy, you came second too! You’re the best bike rider in the WORLD. Just like me! I’m the best in the WORLD!” Ash - 3 1/2. Talking about a race Kent and I went in as a pair. We came second, out of two. But Ash doesn’t need to know that (:

Bed time stories
Ash and I have started a bit of a habit - I lie in bed with him at night and tell him stories before he goes to sleep. I’m sure he’s just playing me so I stay longer.
“Tell me the book about Jackson and his brover Phoebe when they go to the zoo, that’s the one I want you to read.”
I start telling the story, and Sometimes I ask ash how it goes.
